Hello to all,

Just installed on one test instance. CEE is OK, but for CRE, I’m getting those kinds
of messages, when I try to omd start:

Example:

Error: The description string for service 'Filesystem datastore1 (10)' on host 'XXXX' contains one or more illegal characters.

Thus, nagios doesn’t start, and the site remains down…:frowning: I don’t think I’m supposed to
manually edit $OMD_ROOT/etc/nagios/conf.d/check_mk_objects.cfg which is where this
probably comes from…

Any idea how to “fix” this?

Thomas

EDIT Removed duplicated name

same for me. Checktype is snmp, a ILO Host, Fan’s and temperatures
example: Error: The description string for service ‘HW FAN1 (system)’ on host ‘xxxxx’ contains one or more illegal characters.

Hello all

same by me. I’ve this signs in the service descriptions: ()

I had to downgrade to p13.
Best regards

Stefan

I for now have disabled SNMP on my ILO hosts, so that the services disappear until a fix is made. At least ping will work for verifying if ILO is working anyway. I guess this will be fixed in a 2.0.0p15.

Hi all,

thanks for reporting. We already fixed the issue.
2.0.0p15 will arrive soon!

Regards
Timi
