If you are new to the Checkmk Community or are already a Checkmk Community Hero, we have created a special program to say “thank you” to our most dedicated contributors – the people who help develop the product and support other users.
Instead of giving out small, one-time souvenirs, we have set up a tiered premium raffle to show appreciation to our most committed contributors. The core idea is simple: the more you help improve Checkmk or support the Community, the more “draws” (or tickets) you receive.
Here is a complete guide on how it all works:
- How Do You Earn Draws? You earn draws by reaching specific milestones in different areas of the community between 17th of June 2026 and 20th of November 2026:
- Forum Help (please note that only solutions on other people’s threads count!):
- Earning the “Community Ally” badge (25+ solutions) or, if you already have this status, by having 10 solutions during the period of the raffle will give you 10 draws;
- Earning “Community Hero” badge (50+ solutions) or 15 solutions during the period of the raffle will give you 20 draws;
- Earning 7 solutions during the period of the raffle, if you do not yet have aforementioned badges, will give you 5 draws.
- Driving important discussions that lead to meaningful changes to the Community (for example, contributing code for a redesign of Community elements; significant help in writing policies) will give you 3 draws.
- Code Contributions:
- Getting your Checkmk feature mainlined (in agreement with the Product team) will get you 20 draws, providing an update for one – 10 draws,
- Becoming a top-10 uploader for Exchange packages will get you 1 draw per updated package (max. 10) updated during the time period of the raffle
- Actively contributing to the Checkmk Ansible Collection (as decided by the Collection maintainer) that will give you 5 draws.
- Translations:
- Fully translating the user interface will give you 12 draws divided by the number of contributors involved (maximum 3 contributors).
- Reviewing AI translated documentation until it is ready to be published by the Checkmk knowledge team will earn you 8 draws.
- Product discovery and feedback:
- Spending more than 2 hours participating in UX or discovery interviews with our team (no less than 1 hour at a time) will earn you 5 draws.

Getting Your Tickets When you make a qualifying contribution, our team will reach out to you based on the contact details we have received from you. If that does not happen, please reach out to Sara at community@checkmk.com. If you agree to participate and accept the
Conditions of participation and Privacy notice for the Community contribution competition, you will be assigned uniquely numbered draws. Your personal details are kept securely on an internal list, but we also maintain an anonymous public list showing the participant numbers and draws. This way, everyone can see the scale of the event without exposing any identifying data. -
The Live Draw The actual raffle takes place live during a dedicated Community Call on November 25th, 2026 where we use a randomizer to pick the winning numbers. The Community Call will be recorded for documentation purposes. The recording will be stored for 30 days.

- Everyone Gets a Prize: The raffle features a special “no-lose” concept. To make sure nobody goes home empty-handed, the moment you win a prize, all of your remaining draws are removed from the pool. This guarantees that every single participant gets a reward.
- Receiving Your Reward If your number is drawn and you live in the EU or the US, we will be able to ship the physical prize to you. Please note it might take some time for the prizes to be ordered and sent. If you live outside of these regions or for some reason cannot receive a physical prize, we will provide you with a digital certificate of similar value so you still get to enjoy your reward.
