What Could My Contribution Be Like?
Micro Surveys
Micro surveys are a quick and easy way to share your insights and help us make informed decisions. These short surveys, which take about 5 minutes to complete, focus on specific questions — for example, which date format works best for most users.
Surveys
For more complex topics — like planning the rework of a major component or functionality — we rely on in-depth surveys. These take a bit more time to complete, and we may ask for your follow-up input as needed.
We conduct these surveys occasionally, depending on project needs, and your feedback is invaluable in shaping Checkmk’s direction.
Interviews
While surveys provide us with quantitative data about user preferences, interviews help us understand how you use a feature and why. By speaking directly with you, we can explore your habits, challenges, and workflows to guide our initial design decisions.
These sessions take more time and require real-time communication (remotely), but they offer a unique opportunity to influence Checkmk’s development directly.
Usability Studies
When we design a feature, we want to ensure it works effectively and meets its purpose. Usability studies help us test concepts or current workflows to identify any issues or improvements needed.
