There seems to be a bug where the host tags are not getting the update on the alert email. but visible on the template, and also we would want to set various services tags for the services depending on their criticality how can we bring in service tags on the email, any idea how to get that.
To use the service tags in the notification script:
- Your attribute is now ready for all kinds of 3rd party Notification scripts.

Thanks will check the solution… Any idea on the first part why the host tags are not captured on the email notifications.
You can test this manually if you use the ASCII mail template and add the “$HOSTTAGS$” as a variable to output.
I tested on one of my systems and got the host tags without any modification with the mail output.
yes its a bug on the mail.py on the notification plugin. its now working for host tags. thanks
