Be part of the Checkmk UX improvements: Take the 1. Micro Survey

— Survey has been closed —

We are excited to announce the new “Micro Surveys” series, a collection of short, focused surveys aimed at gathering frequent feedback from you, our users, to improve the UX of Checkmk. Each survey will be quick and easy to complete and will focus on a specific aspect or feature of Checkmk.

The first survey is about the language used in Checkmk, specifically the potential impact of renaming the button used to quit a task.
Click on the link below to start the survey and share your thoughts! We also invite you to forward it to any colleagues or other interested Checkmk users who may also like to contribute their feedback.

The 1. Micro Survey is now closed. We appreciate everyone who took the time to share their thoughts and insights on the use of Checkmk. Our team is eager to dig into the results and see how we can improve the experience for IT administrators and infrastructure monitoring staff. Thank you for your valuable input and stay tuned for updates on our progress.

Greetings Community!

The results are in, and we’re happy to announce that the majority of you (76%) have chosen “Cancel” as your preferred label!
As a result, we will be renaming the button to “Cancel”.
This will have several benefits:

  1. Improved clarity: “Cancel” is more commonly used and will make the intended action of the button clearer to users.
  2. Better user experience: By making the button label more intuitive and easier to understand, the overall user experience can be improved.
  3. Consistency: By using a consistent term across Checkmk, users will have a clearer mental model of how things work and are less likely to get confused.
  4. Avoid confusion: ‘Abort’ can have a more negative connotation and may be perceived as harsh or abrupt. Using ‘Cancel’ instead will help avoid confusion and make the user feel more in control.

The change will be available in Checkmk 2.2!

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to participate in this survey. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us make informed decisions to improve the overall user experience.
