Hallo Jörg
der Doku https://checkmk.de/cms_install_packages.html 3.5 hatte ich entnommen das dies nur bei checkmk 1.5.0 oder älter notwendig ist.
Nach folgendem Befehl
dnf install epel-release
bekommen ich nun nur noch ein fehlendes Packet
dnf install check-mk-enterprise-1.6.0p8-el8-38.x86_64.rpm

Letzte Prüfung auf abgelaufene Metadaten: vor 0:00:08 am Mo 20 Jan 2020 16:30:41 CET.
Fehler:
Problem: conflicting requests
- nothing provides graphviz-gd needed by check-mk-enterprise-1.6.0p8-el8-38.x86_64
(try to add ‘–skip-broken’ to skip uninstallable packages or ‘–nobest’ to use not only best candidate packages)
