What is wrong with the deletion of the “maxfile age” files?
This is the “recommended” behavior to remove old PNP4Nagios files.
Attention if you remove the diskspace file, it is removed from all sites using the same CMK version on this server.

~/share/diskspace/pnp4nagios

'var/pnp4nagios/perfdata/*/*.rrd', 'var/pnp4nagios/perfdata/*/*.xml',]
I believe this results in pnp4nagios rrd files being removed if they are older than “maxfile age” in the diskspace cleanup configuration.
The cleanup of rrd files for abandoned hosts seems to be handled by the diskspace cleanup script.
Would it be appropriate to:
rm ~/share/diskspace/pnp4nagios ?
