I would like to put the necessary libraries for plugin development inside my local Python installation so that inside my IDE I could use intellisense,… Can these be downloaded anywhere or extracted from a checkmk installation?
You can connect you dev environment directly to the running CMK system.
I use this dev container template here https://github.com/jiuka/checkmk_template
also for my writing of CMK plugins and special agents.
Connected it is to VSCode on my side.
