I’m on 1.6.0p17 Raw and I try to fix:

CRIT - [agent] Communication failed: timed out**CRIT**, [piggyback] Successfully processed from source 'vCenter'

This problem come from an ESXi.

How can I fix it properly ?

Are you trying to query a vCenter here? Then you need to set Checkmk agent to Normal Checkmk agent, or special agent if configured.

No, I query an ESXi, I have the option " Normal Checkmk agent, or special agent if configured"

But I did not set up this supervision, and there may be some errors.

The all other metrics are good (OK) (CPU, Disk, Interface…), I only have a problem with service “check_MK”.
So maybe I have configuration error, but I don’t know where.

This service is not in “Monitored services” but on “Discovered host labels”

Check Plugin : labels
Host Labers : cmk/piggyback_source_vCenter:yes

Hello, I fix it…

In this case I have to choice “No Checkmk agent, all configured special agents”.
Of course, ESXi don’t have Checkmk agent, and check was from Vcenter.

Ah, right, they changed that in 2.0 I think. From then on the agent won’t be queried if the vSphere special agent is configured. But this way you are good to go anyway.
