CUPS queues missing when updating agent from 1.2.8p18 to 2.0.0p3 on Red Hat 6.8

So as the title says, the section about CUPS queues is just missing from the agent output. I have been poking around a bit, but not found anything.

When running the old agent it’s still there.

I’m new to checkmk, so maybe I’m missing something obvious, but as I understand it that section should just be there natively? I mean, it doesn’t require any plugin or so, right?

Any thoughts?

There is an agent plugin mk_cups_queues, have you deployed that?

Aha, no I haven’t. I can’t find it anywhere on the agent host, but maybe it wasn’t needed before?

Anyway, I’ll try that of course, but can’t find the docs.

Thanks!

You are right. Even the check manual page does not mention the agent plugin: CUPS Printer Queues: State

BTW: This has been changed in checkmk 1.5 over 4 years ago: cups_queues: Moved agent section into own plugin script

I added a hint in the manpage.
