I have installed ‘docker’ with pip install docker. However, I still get below error:

What happens if you run the docker script manually on your host?

I had to use docker (python) 2.x to make it work. The recent versions do not seem to work on Red Hat Linux Server release 6.10 (Santiago). In the original question I have mentioned the OS wrongly.
