What is the most correct way of not filtering, not monitoring dynamic interfaces or interfaces that start with the pppoe description?

Is it a server or an SNMP device?
If it is SNMP i would turn on the HW/SW inventory and then take a look at the interface table inside the inventory. There you can see the types of interfaces and i would set my interface discovery rule in the way that it only discovers the wanted types.
For Windows and Linux servers i configure the interface discovery that it uses the description as service name and then i filter the unwanted names.
