Hello, I can’t find anything regarding “generic string” rule, what is its purpose ? I would like to set the return status of a check to OK if its output contains a specific string, it is possible in checkmk ? Thanks Regards sebastien

In raw it’s not available, which I have, but there is something called Service state translation in the other editions that can remap the state depending on the summary output. If the service is a log, you can also go for processing the log in the Event console.

As far as I know right now you cannot change service state based on summary/output. I would also like to see that functionality - there are checks that return “Always OK”, but sometimes it’s just wrong. I used to rewrite some of them but it’s too time consuming to keep up with upgrades.
