Get rid of site name?

Hello.

I’m moving from old version of CMK to newest possible RAW edition.

I’ve had installation without OMD, configuration in /etc/ etc.

I’ve have only one site configured and i don’t need any more of them.

Can i get rid of it’s name from URL in configuration of omd somehow?

My site was: something.com/check_mk
now it’s something.com/local/check_mk

So i want to remove this “local” part.
I know i can edit apache config to rewrite it somehow, but maybe there is some more gentle and “proper” way to achieve this ?

Short answer - No.
Every installation also standalone local installation is a site and has a name.
You are right that with some rewrite magic inside Apache it is possible but i will not recommend to do such a thing. Some internal processes also need to know the site name and access data over localhost an the site.
