How to check a custom port on remote host

Hello,
i’m new in checkmk, i come from Icinga2 but i’d like to to migrate all my systems (1000 hosts in 3 servers) into checkmk.
I’m testing now the system, i’ve add 3 hosts win and linux with basic check and all is ok, now in one host i need to monitor the port 9000/tcp that listen in localhost. How can i do? I’ve tried with tcp check without success.

OMD - Open Monitoring Distribution Version 2.1.0p19.cre

Thanks in
advance

If it is only listening on localhost then “tcp check” will not be able to monitor it as your CheckMK server is not able to reach server on port 9000.

You need to write small custom script to monitor port that is only listening on localhost.

You could deploy check_tcp on the hosts themselves and let the agent call it via MRPE.
