How to have Critical if service up, OK if service down

Hello,

I use checkmk 1.6.0p17 Raw

I have a service : CRIT - State: stopped,

It’s normal because it’s stopped ^^

But in my case, the probleme could be come if the service is “OK”

Is it possible to reverse the configuration to have Critical if the service is “OK” ?

Tank you.

Hi,

you can try to use the wato ruleset “Service state translation”.
You can map the service state with this rule.

Best Regards

Hi,

you can also add a manual/enforced check for windows services and set the desired state there.

I’m afraid that setting is only available in the Enterprise edition, not in Checkmk Raw.

Hi,
what service do you mean: A windows service? If yes, then create the rule “Windows Services” and use the option “Service states”.

Good afternoon all!

Thank you for this mobilization.

I am new to Check_mk so my expertise is not good (but I want to learn ^^)

This is my service:

It’s not a Windows service, so I’m not sure if I can find this option.

I have this:

Thank you.

(I am not allowed to upload pictures because I am new).

Hi,
what are the parameters for this service?

  1. Open the action menu of the service
  2. Click on “Parameters for this service”
  3. Post your entries from “Check origin and parameters” (have a look a this example snapshot)

Hello,

This alert is from NAS.

Thank you.

Hi,
as @T.Schmitz and @martin.schwarz mentioned: There’s a rule “Service state translation” in der Enterprise Edition. I don’t know a solution for the RAW edition.
