To answer your Question:
If there are contributions by others and someone will take over the fees for the stores I’ll keep the App free in the stores, the Source code with all features and the GitHub Downloads will be 100% Apache 2.0 forever. I might cover the fees of my own pocket and keep it Free as well.
Keep in mind for notifications you need lql-api installed on your Checkmk Server, I want to get rid of that as fast as possible but don’t know how now.
Well, with Apple’s new support for alternative app stores, that shouldn’t be an issue anymore. And for Windows, you can simply provide an installer that users can download from your GitHub, just like with any other open source software solutions. I think anyone capable of using CheckMK can also install it through alternative stores or other methods, so you don’t have to bear the costs. I’m sure everyone would understand that.
But all right, I think my question is answered. We’ll continue using our CheckMK Telegram Plus bot since, as of now, it offers more features and everything we need without potentially causing costs for you. However, I’ll definitely keep your app in mind.

I don’t want my Monitoring stuff managed over Telegram as I don’t want trust Telegram to keep my data save, the same with AI features - as much as I like them.

Of course, everyone has the right to decide who they trust and who they don’t, whether it’s Telegram or any other platform. Both the bot and the AI features are entirely optional, and no one is required to use them. Also, yes, please feel free to take parts of our code – that’s the essence of open source. In the end, the most important thing is that the community benefits from it!
