Monitoring netgear switch CPU usage

Dear Forum.

I would like to monitor the CPU ussage of our Switches in the datacenter.
We already take use SNMP. But this only gives me information on the switch ports and uptime.

Is there any oid that i do not know of?

Hello @bjerre,

You don’t specify either which netgear model nor Check_MK Version.
So at first I would download the Netgear MIBs and then do a snmpwalk, figure out which OID matches CPU.
Then depending on mk version you have two options, develop a snmp check or create a rule to discover that service(SNMP), the last one I believe that is only available on 1.6 not sure.

The edits were all syntax lol

I’m looking at the netgear XS748T and i have cmk version 1.5.0p16 currently. I have not tested with 1.6 yet, but might bee a good idea.

I have done a snmp walk on the devide, but i cant match the mib i got from netgear to any oids

We can offer commercial support to develop new SNMP check plugins for currently unknown devices (at least unknown to checkmk). Contact us at support@heinlein-support.de

I haven’t looked at your mibs. but can you export a snmpwalk and omit confidential information ? So I can give a look at the whole picture.
