Monitoring Tomcat osgi

Hi,

We’re running an Apache Tomcat server that makes use of something called osgi. And I’d like to monitor the performance of the webapps in there. For the conventional Tomcat it’s no problem; I’ve got the jolokia plugin up and running, deployed the war and did the configuration. The Tomcat services show up as expected.

But not the webapps that are deployed in osgi. I did install the jolokia-osgi agent but I’m clueless on how to configure it. Has anyone done this before? If so, could you please point me in the right direction? I really don’t know much about Tomcat / osgi, so really a noob there.

I suggest you try hawtio, connect it to your tomcat jolokia and browse for avaliable stuff you can then configure in check_mk jolokia plugin

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll be sure to give it a try. See if I can get it to work.
