NetApp [special_netapp] How it works?

Hello,

I’m on 1.6.0p17 Raw.

Actually, I have en NetApp NAS (cluster) supervised by check_mk but… I don’t know how !

This this his options :

And lot of other services…

I can see [special_netapp], and I have read this :

But this information is too old.

Instead of “Check_mk [special_netapp]” I tried SNMPv3 and that works too.

But I want understand how the agent [special_netapp] works if I want add an other NAS NetApp.

On the ONTAP System Manager (from NetApp), I see nothing about API or agent.

Any one know how does it works ?

Thank you.

Hi
we have this running here. You have to create a user with appropriate rights in the Netapp user interface and then configure the Special Agent on Checkmk side.
We still use 1.6 so it looks like this:

Hello,

I found this rules on my Check_mk !

Thank you ^^

It use the TCP 6556 as other agent ?

Hi
no TCP 6556 is for the agent installed on OSes like Linux or Windows. Special agents like this one mostly use a https connection (port 443) for accessing the API

Thank you.

is cluster mode supported ?

Cluster mode is the “primary” mode for the special agent.

I have seen a post on this forum in a closed topic where somebody has graphs on his IOPs, but I don’t see any of this in my discovered services … ?
