Can we call the notification script like victorops directly from the command line to send a test message ?
Yes. You have to pass the “alert” information as environment variables starting with NOTIFY_. Have a look at the notification plugin script to figure out which variables it uses.
I ended up using this now.
cmk --notify --spoolfile FILE
