Recommended values for check interval, check attempts and check period

Hello!!
I wanted to consult the recommended values, both for the hosts and for the services, for the following settings:

• check Interval
• check attempts
• check period

The following values are what I use in normal environments. High latency WAN or very big core switches can have different settings.

check interval - 1 min
check attempts - CRE & CEE (classic ping) host 3 , CEE (smart ping) host 12 - service 4-5
check period - 24x7

I nearly use anywhere the following settings:

• check Interval - 60s
• check attempts - 3
• check period - 24x7

I use the same values. For some services we use also a delay
