Retrieving further informations about a host

Hi,
i want to retrieve further informations about a host in check_mk through GVM (earlier openVAS). For example i want to show which vulnerabilities where found.

I dont know which files i have to edit/create on check_mk. Are there any cfg-files for objects where i can paste my commands to retrieve informations from my GVM?

Or how is this possible?

Hi, yes of course i do know these links.
The links from greenbone are explaining how it could be done in general, its not specific for check_mk.

For classical passive monitoring checks i found /nsca.cfg
Maybe i misinterpret this but i thought i need to edit something in var/check_mk/autochecks/ too?

I am sorry, i am just a little confused with this

Thank you for this description
Maybe i should have mentioned, i am running check_mk version 1.7.
I really try to find where i can add a new host-tag or creating a new active check.

But i didnt find one of those options in 1.7 yet,

Hi,
in Checkmk 1.7 …

  • … Host-Tags are created in Setup > HOSTS: Tags
  • … Active checks are created in Setup > SERVICES: Integrate Nagios Plugins > Integrate Nagios Plugins
