We are currently using Check_MK 1.6.0p19. We created folders and have separated our servers into Windows and Linux each folder depending on OS. We also created 2 Contact Groups labeled Windows and Linux Group. We are trying to setup separate alert notifications to only alert to the selected Contact Group. This way the Windows team would not receive Linux alerts and vice/versa. Any guidance would be appreciated.
The default notification rule already implements this behaviour. It sends an email to the contacts of the notified host or service check.
You need to assign the hosts to the contacts groups. Either via ruleset (see WATO → Contact Groups) or via Permission setting in the WATO folder itself.

Thank you so much for the quick response. I’m new at this and trying to figure out things. I’ll look at what you suggested and hopefully filter down the alerting. Thanks again!!!
