Interface 4 for an snmp device shows it errors out at a range of 5-20%, whenever I refresh the page, the error percentage changes. I’m having a hard time figuring out what this means or what is causing it. I’m not sure if I set up the snmp wrong in checkmk or if it is just reporting a problem that needs to be addressed in the device? I’m still new to checkmk so any advice would be appreciated
As the shown interface is a WiFi interface without any significant traffic, the error rate is perfectly normal.
I would recommend to disable this interface if it is not needed for any purpose. Or set the error rate to 101% percent for this interface only.
I was able to confirm this. A separate monitoring system shows the same error. Looks like there’s just nothing going through that interface. Like you said, I’m just going to disable it. Thanks!
