Store Host & Service Events in Database?

CMK version: Raw Edition 2.1.0p17
OS version: RedHat 8.5

Dear all,

I’m completely new to CheckMK - sorry if I’m asking silly questions !
(if RTFM == true, please provide link :-))

In Nagios XI, the information on Host / Service and the Notifications are stored in a MySQL DB.

Please correct me if I’m wrong - but I did not find any DB in CheckMK …

Is there an easy way to have Host and Service Information stored in an external DB ?

Best regards & and your help is highly appreciated !!

David

Checkmk uses livestatus which is an API into the monitoring core. This one has all the information. Events and Notifications are stored in the history log.

You could create an event handler (raw edition) or alert handler (enterprise edition) to send information about events into a database.

Thank you very much !!
