Synology Disk not initialized

Hi All,

Recently we added a Synology SAN to our monitoring.
The hot Spare disk comes up with not initialized. Even though it is initialized in the SAN it self.


How to prevent this behaviour?



This isn’t an error from checkmk, we had the same error too. After contact to the checkmk support, they say that there is an wrong value from the snmp and i had to contact synology to fix this.

I don’t see any wrong value supplied by the SNMP. Every “Hot spare” has the status “not initialized” that is the expected status if you are a “Hot spare” disc.
The “synology_disks” check need a bugfix/rework that the status “not initialized” is saved at discovery time and every state change is showed then later.
