Unable to get serial numbers for all devices monitored in checkmk

Hi Team,

When exporting the serial numbers from the views we are not getting it for all devices. Some devcies are having serial number Hardwar>Physical Components>Chassis and when creating view with chassis and exporting chassis column says “NOT_CSV_EXPORTABLE“. Please let us know if there is any other way to export the serial numbers of all devices which are getting monitored in checkmk.

Have the serial numbers been recorded for all devices and are they visible in the list, but they aren’t being exported to the CSV file?

Or do some devices not have a recorded serial number, which is why they aren’t being exported, of course?

Hi Oliver,

I could see serial number under Check_MK H/W S/W Inventory service but when i am trying to export via views its not showing for all devices.

Do you have edit the view to Show the HW informations?

For me ( on RAW/Community 2.3.0p46 ) :
Under Chassis in Inventory i only see below.

But under System i see a/the serial number.

So might it be that you are expecting information under the ‘wrong node’ ?
…or also possible a/the information is placed under the wrong node in HW/SW scans.
I think this will need some discussion
