Many old threads talking about removing xinetd for the agent and using systemd, but what about livestatus on the checkmk server, can you get rid of xinetd and use systemd there as well?
The xinetd for livestatus is running inside the site context and not in your normal system.
I think that is the biggest difference to the agent and using systemd.
I am not overly concerned about as its running as the site user and I looked into some of the xinetd cves and they dont really apply.
The problem is every security scan flags xinetd and security people jump up and down
