We have:
CheckMK RAW 2.3.0p35
Rocky Linux 9.7
Planning an upgrade, can I go straight to 2.4.0p??
or do I need to step the upgrades through all the patches?
Not all, but you should install the latest 2.3 patch and then you upgrade to the latest 2.4 release.

We even did some magic to update the latest releases in a daily manner:
Updates from Checkmk must always be performed from the last patch release of the source version to the last patch release of the target version. An update from 2.3.0p1 to 2.4.0p25 therefore follows this path:
2.3.0p1 → 2.3.0p46 → 2.4.0p25
