Again and again: No IP packet received for

**CMK version:cee 2.0.0p18
**OS version:RHEL 7.9

Hi,
I have a strange problem. I have added a physical Linux system to checkmk and by chance I have seen that there are sporadic "No IP packet received for " errors on the system. So I pinged the system via commandline and also looked at the various system logs of the system. I just can’t understand why checkmk has problems with the smart ping again and again. Does anyone else have an idea where I could look? The system is only very rarely “offline” for so long that it is shown as down host.

Many greetings and thanks!
Christian

cmk is sometimes lying about the error message. it can mean that cmk did not get the ping response (but the host did respond)
Run tcpdump on both your server and your checkmk server first

Hi,
the solution here was just to move the agent to another site, afterwards this issue was resolved.
