Our Windows department announced the usage of Windows 2025 (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/discussions/windowsserverinsiders/windows-server-2025-is-generally-available-as-of-nov-1/4285583) and would like to know if the Checkmk agent is supported on the new version.
Since there is no official support listed in the documentation listed as of yet (and I am no Windows expert) I would like to know if the agent works on Windows 2025, resp. will be officially supported and with which Checkmk versions, since we currently do not have the latest version installed.
Server 2025 is nearly the same as Windows 11 24H2, the agent is working without problem on Windows 11. That means it should also work on Server 2025.
Most times not the agent itself has problems, but the used plugin scripts, if there are any problems.
thanks for the info. I thought so. Regarding the plugins, I hope the default ones (that are shipped with the agent) do work as well with Windows 2025.
Maybe someone from checkmk team can confirm this.
