AlmaLinux (Redhat 9) support

Hello Forum,

We wanted to upgrade a RH with the security patches p45 and p46 in 2.3.0
Currently on 2.3.op27
Our test setup went fluent, but production gave us some nasty library exits on cmc

**Starting cmc…/omd/sites/PRD/bin/cmc: /lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.15’ not found (required by /opt/omd/versions/2.3.0p45.cee/bin/../lib/liblivestatus.so.0)
Failed
**

I added this remark in the topic regarding Debian13 support, it looks like a similar issue that needs some attention in the RH releases

Installation and Updates went fluent

Could you create a support ticket? Then this can be handled quickly

Run “sudo strings /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6.0.29 | grep CXXABI”

If it doesn’t report it, you don’t have it.

My Oracle Linux 9 system only goes up to 1.3.13

I have to log onto an Oracle Linux 10 system to get 1.3.15.

I’m wondering it was compiled on a EL10 system, or a EL9 system, with non-standard libraries.

I abandoned 2.3.0 long ago, and am running 2.4.0.

free of charge I presume :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

strings /opt/omd/versions/2.3.0p45.cee/lib/libstdc++.so.6.0.33 | grep CXXABI

CXXABI_1.3
CXXABI_1.3.1
CXXABI_1.3.2
CXXABI_1.3.3
CXXABI_1.3.4
CXXABI_1.3.5
CXXABI_1.3.6
CXXABI_1.3.7
CXXABI_1.3.8
CXXABI_1.3.9
CXXABI_1.3.10
CXXABI_1.3.11
CXXABI_1.3.12
CXXABI_1.3.13
CXXABI_1.3.14
CXXABI_1.3.15
CXXABI_TM_1
CXXABI_FLOAT128

Yes.

Oracle Linux itself is free. If you want support, the annual fee is reasonable.

We stopped selling the software without support so that we don’t have that question anymore
I do not know what kind of contract you currently have, so can’t really say
