Assignment of host groups to contact groups

Hello community

I organized our hosts in host-groups and build up some contact groups for my users.
Now i want to connect these two - but can’t find any possibility.

There is that rule “Assignment of hosts to contact groups” where i can assign a host (defined by condition) to a contact group. But none of the available conditions let’s me select the host group.

What i can do is to rebuild the definition of my host group in the condition part of that rule. But that would make the hostgroup itself unnecessary - for this part.

Have i missed something or is this simply not possible?
In my opinion it would be very nice if a rule could be assigned by using a “member of host group” condition.

Host groups are not for the configuration.

I would suggest to re-create your host groups rules in the ruleset “Host labels” to assign a label to the hosts.
Based on the label you can then create one rule each in the rulesets for host groups and the assignment of contact groups. Would be much easier and more consistent.
