AWS monitoring piggyback host issuse

Hi everyone. I’m very new to CheckMK and not even a developer but I’m working on monitoring and AWS setup with a Raw edition CheckMK setup. I have established a connection between the AWS and CheckMK.

The issue is with the piggyback host I created to monitor and EC2 instance. I created the host and it showed the status and the performance metrics like CPU utilisation, Disk I/O etc. It’s just not showing the status of the EC2 instance correctly which is my number one priority. I enabled a host check command that used the status of the service instead of a ping. But that put my main AWS account associated host in critical and it’s not receiving data.

I just want the piggyback host to reflect the actual status of the EC2 instance. Can anyone help?
