Azure recovery services - missing config options in rule

Hello everyone,

This is for Checkmk ultimatemt 2.5.0p11: I have an alert for an Azure recovery services vault backup container, complaining about it having “completed with warnings” and its “protection” is stopped.

The ruleset for it, does only allow me to configure “time since last backup”, not any other aspect.

Options to configure “other aspects” for the Azure recovery services vault, are missing. Is it planned that those will be added?

Hi @openmindz, which config options are most important for you? What I read is you’re looking to configure service state mapping to the “Last status” of the backup and the “Protection state”. What’s your use case for that, for example do you want to set CompletedWithWarnings as OK?

Yes, for example. I’m aware of the fact that I can “translate” service states, but I believe that the rule to configure this, should allow to set thresholds (or values) for those monitored “aspects”, too.

As I understand the check output and the rule, the only “aspect” that is covered by the rule is “Last backup:”. There’s no option to modify anything regarding the “Last status:” or the “Protection state:”, yet… alerts are being raised for them.

My point was: If you’re “alerting” about things, allow me to configure them… :slight_smile: So I daresay that those options are “missing”.

Yes, that totally makes sense.

Unfortunately we don’t have that planned in as of now.

I’ve added it to our internal list of improvements.
