Azure special agent memory consumption sky high

Mix of CentOS 7 and Alma Linux 8

So the Remote site is running a CentOS 7 with 4 vCPU and 4 GB RAM, 2 GB Swap.
When I enable the Azure special agent the site uses all of its memory and swap and crashes when it runs out of memory.
I then edited the remote site to have 16GB RAM, now the remote site is stable but it consumes 13.5GB RAM. so for the looks of it, something in the special agent for Azure is eating around 9-10 GB memory. That seems to be very high, I have tried different settings on the agent setup. All seems to have no effect.

Anyone else using the Azure Special Agent that have seen anything like this?
