Backup Database

I would like to know which database Check_mk is based on to improve my backup strategy.
Because I haven’t found a single source on this topic myself.

Checkmk does not use a database.
There is omd backup and the WATO module Backup for builtin backups but you can also just do a filesystem backup for the most parts. RRDs are kind of special.
