I know that one of the main advantages of check_mk is to provide the auto-discovery of the services to be checked automatically but in my particular scenario is also important to have the option of configure all the service checks based in the approach:
Disable inventory
Define tags and folder with tags associated
Define a manual check based in the tag
Import hosts to the proper folder.
Is there a way to make available in the manual checks section a check that is defined as a check for inventory, but not in the manual checks sections.
I think i know what @jagonlaz wants.
He needs to define for every folder what should be checked there and also what must be there.
This is not possible with only inventory checks.
Thanks for your fast answer. I will try to use an example.
If you perform an autodiscovery of a SNMP host, the service SNMP INFO is discovered and you can include it to monitor the SNMP info of this host.
But if you look in the Manual Checks sidebar option and search this snmp info check, you can not find it (at least i can not), so i don´t know how to include this service as a service to be monitored without using autodiscovery
PD; I have seen this for SNMP INFO check, but i don´t know if there are more checks that only appears using autodiscovery and can not be chosen as manual checks
