Cannot create new account on Checkmk Exchange – “Something went wrong” error

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to register a new account on the Checkmk Exchange today,
but the signup process keeps failing with the following message:

“Something went wrong. Try refreshing the page or try again later.”

I’ve already cleared my browser cache, tried Chrome and Firefox, and even incognito mode,
but the issue persists.

Since there were recent issues related to authentication (like 2FA problems),
I’m wondering if this might be part of the same backend issue affecting the Exchange login system.

Has anyone else run into the same problem, or is there a workaround available?

Thanks in advance,
Elicarlos

@baris.leenders are you aware of any central issues here?

++ @martin.hirschvogel / @Sara ? :slight_smile:

Sara is off today and comes back tomorrow. She will take a look at that

Thanks! It’s working now I was able to register successfully.

Really appreciate the quick fix.

Sorry, but now I have another problem. The site says:
“Your email is not verified yet. Please check your inbox and click the verification link. You can re-send the verification email here.”

However, I never receive this email, even after clicking “re-send”.

I just checked and received the confirmation email instantly (possibly even two)
Could you please check the spam folders or other possible filters?

Can confirm that. Just signed up again. Also got the email (two infact, will be looking in to that now).

While y’all are looking at the Exchange code, any chance you might also look into the problem with enabling 2FA I reported elsewhere?
