Change retention of checkmk

CMK version: 2.3p18 RAW
OS version: Ubuntu server 22.04

I am needing assistance if at all possible. I am about a month away from running out of disk space on my server (80gb total), and need to change the retention that checkmk uses.

I have looked through the documentation and other posts, and honestly, it makes no sense to me, I don’t understand it. The documentation is not for RAW as far as I can tell, the rules mentioned do not exist in my install. I tried looking for pnp4nagios stuff, but have no idea what I’m looking for.

From what I have pieced together, the default retention for rrd files is 4 years, and I want it to be 1. I am sitting at just under 3500 services currently, and need to plan for doubling of that. Its a new need.

I’m sorry for being a pest, but I could really use some advice.

sorry, I am 40GB total disk space, not 80.

As an interim measure, I have doubled the disk size and partition in the ubuntu server, its a VM. That said, it would still be nice to know how to do this.

This will not help as the RRD retention time is not an issue for increased space consumed.
All RRD stay the same size after creation.

But first i would check the output of the following service on your CheckMK host.
