OMD - Open Monitoring Distribution Version 2.5.0p14.ultimate:
ORACLE Linux 9:
I would like to monitor my Data Guard System.
On Primary, its fine.
However, standby complains:
/u01/app/gi/19.30/gi_home1/lib" - Execution is blocked because you try to load an unsafe Oracle client library as a privileged user. Please, disable write access to the files by non-privileged users.
I’ve installed the thin client the same way as on primary and set the rights to the thin client directory to root only.
Any Ideas?
Thx

Is the mentioned folder really from the thin client? I don’t think so. Can you check that the files inside the mentioned folder have the same rights settings as on your second instance?
The folder CHECK_MK complains about is not the thin client, it’s the GI Home.
That’s the thing confusing me.
The thin client is installed as requested:
All files belong to root:root.
Installed to
/usr/lib/check_mk_agent/plugins/mk-oracle
Is this really the oracle application folder???
The shown oracle application folder looks the same on the other machine?
What was configured for the oracle plugin inside the config file?
The “sqlnet.ora permission group” i mean.
As far as i know, should the files not belong to root:root inside a Oracle installation.
