Check Host with PING (ICMP Echo Request)

Good Day All

I am hoping someone can assist me to setup the Check host with PING - I cant seem to work out how to set the time of the check (1min , 2min etc)

Hi Mart,

for the times/intervals you need to add a new rule “normal check intervals for service checks” and inside the rule, under conditions, set the service name accordingly (whatever you wrote in the service description).

As you wants to check ping, you need to add the rule for “normal check intervals for Host checks”. Ping service comes with Host checks and other services are part of service section.

Depends on the checkmk edition and/or the rules in “host check command”.
