Hi
So we’ve got check_mk configured to send email alerts as html with embedded/encoded graphs for host and service events…now we need to send plain text emails to an alphanumeric pager and I can’t see any way to do this via WATO as all contacts are created with the default notification commands as defined in check_mk.py.
Would the best way to setup this plain text alert, leaving my html alerts in place, be via a contacts.cfg file and just a manual definition for this pager?
Thanks
J
Hi
No problem...we didn't develop it...just tuned it for use in our environment...here is the page I found the scripts on
Which I believe was passed onto me

Hi Jason,
could you consider sharing the html mail config with the rest of the list?
I think there's a few dozen people who tried that with differing success.
Beyond that I think you'll have to override the notification command to one that will be your "mulitplexer" for notification methods.
I take it you're already using the new WATO since you wrote about adding contacts, right?

How now looking at using this on our new 1.2.0b1 check_mk site...it no longer works due to the HOST rrd files being multiple instead of a single rrd. I see there seems to be a newer version of the script (newer than we use here) which does a wget to grab to pnp4nagios generated png and then encodes that...might be worth looking into, but it doesn't seem to work out of the box. I'll post more if I get this working again. But if you are using an older check_mk which uses the single _HOST_.rrd files, the scripts should work with minor tuning.
Thanks
