[Check_mk (english)] Can anyone explain why this happens?

Why is checkmk reporting a warning when the temp is below the warning level?

You could configure upper and lower levels in the rule. Could be that this is still on default levels?

Not a custom check. I went to hosts, rulesets, then temperature, and changed the rule to set new values and a regex to apply only to these temp sensors.

Ahh, sorry, my fault. Now I understand your issue.

Your Critical lower threshold is at -10°C and the current value is at -28°C. The state should be Critical instead of Warning.

What version of Check_MK are you using.

Is it a Raritan PDU? Or what check plugin is used?

No, no, the value is at 28.1C, positive, not negative. The state should be no warning at all. I am using 1.4.0p8. It’s a raritan PDU and it is reporting correct values. The problem
is in CheckMK.

I believe the problem may be in the chsck script, maybe there is an ‘and’ where an ‘or’ should be…

…and… I just found out that PDU limits and other params are set by putting them into an excel spreadsheet, then in a usb stick that is plugged into the PDU.
The PDU then looks for its Mac address and programs itself on the basis of the info in the sheet. Which means that whomever told me the values are wrong did not remember that those values had been agreed already.

Allllrightythen! Moving right along to the next item on the checklist…

No worries, you led me directly to the answer. The upper and lower limits are not set in check_mk, they are hardcoded in the PDU.

In other words, not a bug. It’s a feature! Surprise! LOL!
