We are starting to automate more with chef which will add nodes to Check mk for us. This is working but the issue we have is that its creating a duplicated folder structure from the one we have in place. Below is after adding a test host
with the API
The folder on the left was created manually but the folder on the right was created when adding a host via the API. Is this expected?

I did think about it being an issue with the capitalization of some of the letters, I copied the folder structure from the web interface and just added the “/” to ensure it was identical

I once run into a similar problem.
I remember it has something to do with the capitalization. You should check your API call for capital letters.
