Hi Everybody,
people from The tribe29 are sure reading this list :-), so I have
a little question please. I am migrating from main.mk written by
hand into WATO with latest stable 1.6.0p6 CMK.
I use gathering data from Checkpoint firewall host along two ways:
- TCP agent installed into operating system
- and SNMP agent also.
WATO supports one way or another, but not both at the same time. I wrote
both tags by hand in the hosts.mk, so until someone change
properties of the host using WATO, things works as before.
Is there a reason to not support both agents at the same time in the
future?
And one more sub-question... I'm using GIT for the whole OMD site
directory (with tuned .gitignore for every dynamic data). I'm watching
changes during migration using git diff of course. Things can be
improved a bit, if Python dictionary entries was written in
deterministic way (ordered?). I understand this can be non trivial
change and can have some performance consequences.
