[Check_mk (english)] Force10 S55 switch support

I read that Werk 4629 “dell_powerconnect_fans, dell_powerconnect_psu now also works for Force10 switches”.

I addedd a new Dell/Force10 S55 switch (FTOS 8.3.5.6h) but only ports that are UP and SNMP Info are showed.

Any suggestion?

Hi Davide,

1) which CMK version are you using?
2) beware of the hint at the end of every mailinglist mail - the lists
will be shut down at Tuesday in favor of forum.checkmk.com ...

Hi Davide,

Please check the discovery options for network ports.

In v1.4.x (I suppose it's about the same in newer versions):
Parameters for discovered services -> Network Interface and Switch Port Discovery.

Here you can create a rule which makes Check_MK pick up ports that are down.
In that newly created rule find the option 'Network interface port states to discover'.
Set the checkmark at the appropriate port states and you're set.
