[Check_mk (english)] Host view, preview graphs

Hello,

I am not sure if this has been raised as an issue, or if it’s a genuine one, but this appears to have broken on 3 of the instances I manage.

When looking at the “All Hosts” view, there used to be a graph icon like seen below, but when I hover over it, no graph is displayed.

Now on a new install I have this below with no graph icon.

Any ideas on how I would get this back? I can’t see anything relevant on the Edit View page.

For the benefit of others, my colleague figured this out. The smart ping doesn’t graph so when I’ve upgraded my RAW to Enterprise versions this stopped working – makes sense.

If you want this back, add a rule for Host Check Command and set it to Ping and they’ll be back.

Hope this helps someone else.

Yes this is one of the drawbacks. It is documented here -

One disadvantage should not be hushed-up however: the Smart-Ping host checks generate no performance data (packet runtimes). On hosts where these are required you can simply set up a Ping-Check (via the Active Checks ➳ Check hosts with PING rule set).
