[Check_mk (english)] Link to a view in Service or Status Detail

Good morning

Is it possible to put an HTML link in a Service Description (don’t think so) or a Status Detail (I think I’ve seen that done on the DELL hardware checks)?

Thanks,

Tim

Tim,

Where are you wanting this displayed at? Alert emails that are sent out? Or just the Multisite interface?

Dale

Sorry for not being clear – just in the Multisite interface.

I’m trying to link to a search view for a custom check that we’ve written. From what I’ve tried, when I put HTML tags in the check_info dict, cmk complains
that it contains invalid characters – so I’m assuming that it’s not possible in the service description. I have seen links in the Status Detail fields, but this isn’t as ideal for the application.

Thanks,

Tim,

Have you already tried the notes on this page of the CheckMK documentation >> http://mathias-kettner.com/checkmk_multisite_notes.html

I have had some good success using HTML with the way the notes are created on that page.

Thanks,

Dale
